Golden State Warriors are masters of ball rotation and off-ball cutting, thereby providing open-space for their shooters night-in and night-out. They stormed the Nuggets in the first quarter, outscoring them 36-23. The Nuggets bounced back in the 2nd period, to score 32 points to Warriors' 24, placing the scoreboard at 60-55 at the close of the half. AND then there was the 3rd quarter. GSW piled up 43 points in the 3rd quarter itself, leaving Denver in search of answers they could not find all-throughout the game. Richard Jefferson, in his 17th season, showed some heart in the dying minutes, but the match had already slipped.
Warriors' shot 45% from the 3-point land, and their starters outscored that of the Nuggets' 79-34. Durant, Draymond, Curry, Thompson scored 25, 15, 22, 15 respectively, as everybody shared in the successful hunt. At the buzzer, they had managed to put 127 points on the board, even though most of the last quarter was controlled by their second unit. Warriors improve to 5-1 on the road and 7-3 overall, and take back their very own '1st seed in the Western Conference' crown. They had a slow start to the season, but word around the street is that 'Warriors are here'.
