Arsene Wenger has confirmed that contract talks with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will resume in the summer, with Arsenal yet to reach an agreement over extending their deals.
The Gunners are determined to secure the futures of their star players this summer with less than 15 months remaining on their current contracts, but negotiations have proved difficult and drawn out.
The representatives of Ozil and Sanchez are in regular contact, with reports claiming both players are demanding salaries in excess of £250,000-a-week.
“At the moment we do not have an agreement,” Wenger told beIN Sports. “We’ve decided to focus on the end of the season and talk about it during the summer. It’s the same situation with Ozil because, when once you don’t find an agreement and it lasts, it’s not good for them, so it’s better you get it out and sit down during the summer.”
