Rajeev Shukla will continue to serve as the Chairman of Indian Premier League's (IPL) governing council, Vinod Rai, the Chief of Committee of Administrators (CoA), confirmed on Thursday (March 30).
In February this year, Rajeev had addressed the IPL franchises as chairman of the Governing Council despite the CoA requesting all Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) members to self-assess their eligibility to participate in the auction.
The 57-year-old was the IPL Chairman until 2013, but he resigned from the post in the wake of spot-fixing scandal. However, he was reappointed as the Chairman of the powerful Governing Council in 2015.
