Delhi University Times, a student-run online portal, has shared the picture of SRK’s admission form for Hans Raj College. That he had secured just 51 in English, had led to a lot of debate online.
Viraj Shokeen, a second-year student of Hans Raj College says, “If marks actually don’t matter, why does the system of cut-offs exist? A direct interview with the panel should be the entry criteria."
However, Rishab Suri, a third-year student of Kirori Mal College, begs to differ. “Marks don’t define anyone. After a point, it is about how you present yourself. One can score a 95 in English and still not able to speak fluently. SRK just delivered the most amazing TED talk in Vancouver. Try beating that!”
While the principal of Hans Raj College, Dr Rama, is unable to verify the site's claim that the form is authentic, he opines, "I feel proud that Shah Rukh is from my college and marks don’t matter, it is the overall development that matters.”"
