India has advertised for a new coach, although incumbent Anil Kumble will automatically be on a shortlist and is tipped by interested onlookers in Australia to retain the role after his strong maiden season.
Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting believes that if the BCCI want a new man at the helm, they shouldn't beyond the wall.
"I don't think BCCI will find many better candidates than someone like him [Dravid]. If he's interested in doing the job, he will do a good job. He's got a lot of knowledge, is very experienced and understands all three formats," Ponting said.
