People living with disabilities in Baringo have threatened to move to court as none of them has been nominated to the county assembly. They held protests outside the assembly in Kabarnet town on Tuesday, saying they will block the swearing-in of MCAs.
"We will not allow the swearing-in to proceed until we have our own representative," said Caroline Kemboi, their former national vice chairperson. The protesters said it is unfair to be denied a slot yet they participated in the election. "As PLWDs we feel IEBC has violated our rights. We are asking them for a reversal because we will definitely go to court."
