Ngania Melissa a young female lawyer in the presidential petition stole the show during the Supreme Court proceedings as she argued with substance for the third respondent. Ngania Melissa and senior counsels Fred Ngatia, Ahmednasir Abdullahi and lawyer Tom Macharia were representing President Uhuru Kenyatta in a case filed by Raila Odinga challenging his re-election.
According to information obtained in the Law Society of Kenya website, Ngania Melissa currently works for Wairegi Gatetua and Associates. She was admitted to the bar in 2011 and has practised law for five years.
In 2013, Lawyer Kethi Kilonzo was the youngest lawyer at the Supreme Court during the 2013 petition. Despite her age, Kethi was composed, eloquent and a great inspiration to many Kenyans especially young women.
