AB de Villiers is back fresh. Over the past few months, speculation was rife that the South African legend might call it quits from Test cricket and focus on limited-overs formats and T20 leagues. However, de Villiers put all talks to rest by stating last week that he will once again be available for all three formats.
When asked about the perception of many South African cricketers being are more interested in playing in the IPL or taking the Kolpak route than representing the country, ABD said, "For me, South Africa always comes first. IPL has been an incredible lesson to me and my family. I have enjoyed every second of my stay in India and hopefully there are many more years to come. But cricket in South Africa will always be top priority for me and I think it's the same for any South African. Once those corners are cut off and you realise you can't represent the country any more and the chances are less, I have no problem with someone going to play cricket (England, India or Australia) elsewhere."
