Carlos Vela is leaving Real Sociedad for MLS expansion side Los Angeles FC.
The 28-year-old Mexican international will remain in Spain until January, when he will depart for the California side that is set to begin play in the 2018 season.
Sociedad confirmed Vela was off to MLS on Tuesday, before Vela announced he would be heading to LAFC on his Twitter account later in the day.
LAFC will begin training in January, and Vela remaining with Sociedad will ensure he receives playing time until his new club starts play.
Vela came up through the youth ranks at Chivas Guadalajara before joining Arsenal in 2005. However Vela would only appear 29 times for the Gunners, and endured extended loan spells with Salamanca, Osasuna and West Bromwich Albion.
