Andrew Tye, the Australian fast bowler, has been called in to replace Pat Cummins for the three-match T20I series against India which is scheduled to start from October 7. Cummins is set to return home after the ODI series in a bid to prepare for the Ashes.
The Western Australian was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat Lions in IPL 2017, claiming 12 wickets in six matches including a hat-trick against the Rising Pune Supergiant.
Tye has five wickets from the five T20Is he has played Australia.
