Wiper election losers in Mombasa and Kilifi want the party, ANC and Ford Kenya to withdraw from the NASA pact. They have threatened to move to Jubilee in one week if the party bosses fail to revisit terms of engagement with coalition leader Raila Odinga. "We will not campaign for Raila. ODM was the master schemer in vote theft," Peterson Mitau said on Friday.
The group was were joined by some Jubilee-leaning politicians.Mitau accused ODM of colluding with IEBC to rig out other coalition candidates in the August 8 polls, adding that Mombasa was extensively cited in the Supreme Court petition. The Orange party won all the MP seats in Kilifi and 27 out of the 35 MCA posts in Kilifi.
In Mombasa, Raila's party clinched 27 out of 30 MCA posts and four of the six MP slots. The party won the governor, woman representative and senate seats in both counties. "We are privy to information that some IEBC officials were compromised," said Mitau who ran as an independent candidate for Changamwe MP. He said non-ODM candidates were treated like second-class citizens and were frustrated throughout campaigns.
