No action against Pollard for no-ball

Following an investigation and discussion with Kieron Pollard, the Caribbean Premier League authorities have decided to not take any action with regards to the no-ball bowled by Kieron Pollard against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots on September 3, 2017.

"The Hero CPL remains firmly committed to ensuring that the tournament is played within the laws and spirit of cricket and welcome Pollard's comments confirming that there was no ill-intent in what happened when he bowled the final ball of the match to Evin Lewis of the Patriots," a release by CPL stated.

Evin Lewis who had smashed 97 runs off 32 balls, was denied a chance to bring up his century as Pollard overstepped with St Kitts & Nevis Patriots needing a solitary run. A boundary at that point would have helped Lewis become the second fastest century-maker in T20 cricket.
