Kelian Galletier double proved handy as Montpellier overcame Glasgow Warriors to keep their hopes alive in the ongoing European Champions Cup with a 22-29 victory at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday.
This is Glasgow's third successive defeat in the tournament that almost confirms their exit from Pool 3 while Montpellier continue to remain third with eight points.
The home side lost the plot completely in the final 10 minutes of the first half as they lost Turner to sin-bin for a cheap shot on Louis Picamoles and Galletier capitalised with his second try coming in the 32nd minute and another yellow card to Jonny Gray for bringing down a rolling maul resulted in a penalty try for the visitors as they claimed a 17-19 lead leading into the second half.
That lead was extended when du Plessis just beat the defence to scramble over the line for a fourth try, but Sarto added his second after an end-to-end move that started inside the Warriors five-metre line.
Any chance of a Glasgow comeback was put off as Frans Steyn kicked a 70th minute penalty goal to complete the seven point win for Montpellier.
