Former WWE Cruiserweight champion Rich Swann was suspended indefinitely following an arrest on battery and false imprisonment charges, the WWE announced Sunday.
"WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Rich Swann has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest," the statement read.
Swann, 26, was arrested Saturday night in Gainesville, Florida. According to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, Swann had argued with his wife, Vannarah Riggs, and was charged with battery and false imprisonment of an adult then released on bail. Swann and Riggs, who were married March, live in Orlando.
Riggs wrestles under the name Su Yung. She had a match earlier that day. According to the police report, Swann "critiqued" her performance and the two started to argue while driving.
A witness told police that Riggs exited the vehicle. After she refused to re-enter, Swann grabbed and pulled her back to the car using a headlock, according to the report.
