Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok has once again pledged✋ to work with the President to end suffering in the county.
The veteran Opposition leader was to be sworn-in on Tuesday but the plan was postponed amid pressure for talks, which Uhuru has turned down.
Nanok declared his position during Jamhuri Day celebrations🎉 at Moi Gardens grounds in Lodwar.
He was once a supporter of the Opposition, and while under ODM in the August 8 general election:ballot_box_with_ballot, he garnered 73,232 votes against his main rival John Munyes of Jubilee who got 52,572 votes.
He accused Jubilee Party MPs in Turkana of working with the government to fulfill selfish interests but warned that their end has come since he will cooperate with Uhuru and Deputy President William.
