Andy Murray insists he can win the French Open after his best display on clay this season.
The world No.1 beat Juan Martin del Potro in straight sets yesterday to reach the last 16 at a Grand Slam for the 25th consecutive time.
Murray said: “I thought I played some good tennis towards the end.
“I’m starting to feel better. I have struggled the last six or seven weeks coming in.
“I believe in myself, so even when things aren’t going well, I believe I can turn it around.
Murray won a gripping 84-minute opening set on his way to a 7-6 (10-8) 7-5 6-0 victory.
He out-scored his tough Argentine rival with 41 winners to 35, all the while mixing up his game with drop shots and volleys.
