The match took place on Sunday at Old Trafford, and featured United legends from that Champions League-winning 2008 squad like Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes going up against a side including John Terry, Clarence Seedorf and Michel Salgado.
Carrick's 84th-minute strike capped off a match that also saw goals from Gaizka Mendieta, Nemanja Vidic and Robbie Keane.
The match helped raise money for the Michael Carrick Foundation.
Before kick-off, the 35-year-old addressed the crowd and extended condolences to those affected by the recent attacks in Manchester and London.
