Bangladesh 182 in 44.3 overs (Tamim 95, Starc 4-29) v Australia 83/1 in 16 overs
Bangladesh won the toss against Australia and decided to bat in their second encounter. Tamim Iqbal as per usual was rock solid up top but wickets fell around him, until Shakib Al Iqbal managed to stick with him for a period of play where the duo stitched together a 69 run partnership before he fell. Tamim kept on trying for his side until he eventually got out for a fighting knock of 95 after which the last three wickets fell straight after, adding a solitary run and the team ending up with 182 on the board. All the bowlers chipped away at the wickets but Starc was the pick of the bowlers, getting rid of a settled Tamim before blowing away the tail with his lighting bolts aimed at the base of the stumps .
When Australia began the chase it looked like it was going to be a walk in the park. Warner and Finch put on a 45 run opening partnership, and after the fall of Finch, Smith and Warner kept on chipping away at the score with ease. At the 16th over mark, the rain gods wreaked havoc and the game had to be called off, bringing a sigh of relief to the Bangladeshi camp. Much to the displeasure of Steve Smith, the points were shared. The Aussies have been saved and hard done by rain this series.
