Yasir Shah, the Pakistan legspinner, penned a deal with Kent for four Division 2 County Championship matches, on Monday (June 5). The 31-year-old is expected to make his debut for the County club against Durham on June 8.
The ace legspinner became the joint second fastest bowler of all-time to bag 100 scalps in the longest format last year, achieving the milestone in just 17 matches. Yasir also took 25 scalps at 17.5 in the recently-concluded Test series against West Indies.
"I'm very happy to return to England and play county cricket for the first time," Yasir said. "I've heard positive things about the county and hope to contribute to the team. I've enjoyed my previous visits to England and look forward to playing in front of the Kent supporters at Canterbury and Beckenham."
