Manchester United are set to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, with the player's agent Juanma Lopez having met with general director Jose Angel Sanchez on Friday to inform the club's hierarchy of the striker's desire to leave.

All that remains now is for the directors of the English team to negotiate a transfer fee with their Spanish counterparts.

According to sources in England, the player has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club, who are prepared to bid 70 million euros.

The 24-year-old found the back of the net 19 times in 43 appearances last season and Zinedine Zidane was keen for him to stay, but the player wants more regular playing time, especially in a World Cup year.
