A helicopter engineer in Badrinath, Uttarakhand died on Saturday after the chopper failed to take off, news agency ANI reported. According to the report, the helicopter could not gain height, resulting in the accident. It further said the passengers and pilot of the helicopter were safe after the accident, but the engineer on board died after he got strangled in the blades of the air vehicle.
According to Times of India, the chopper was on its way from Badrinath to Haridwar, carrying five pilgrims, two pilots and an engineer. The newspaper further said that the accident happened at 7:45 am.
