The 2017 Tony Awards were filled with plenty of drama, but, at least when it came to their beauty looks, Broadway’s finest brought a surprising less-is-more, understated approach to red carpet glamour. Just look to 1984 actress Olivia Wilde, who took her recently chopped bob to sleek new heights, or Miss Saigon star Eva Noblezada, who reached for a hint of luminous highlighter to show off her Tony-nominated cheekbones.
To withstand New York’s 90-degree weather this afternoon, Broadway’s biggest fans kept things similarly simple. Model Carolyn Murphy nailed sun-kissed skin, polished hair, and a pale pink lip. And Candice Swanepoel pulled her lengths back into a heat wave–approved ponytail that created a subtle contrast to her glittering Prabal Gurung gown.
