Pakistan fined for slow over-rate in Cardiff win

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed was fined 20 percent of his match fee while the rest of the players were docked 10 percent respectively for slow over-rate in their nervy three-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Cardiff on Monday (June 12). The charge was laid by on-field umpires Bruce Oxenford and Marais Erasmus, third umpire Chris Gaffaney and fourth umpire Ian Gould and match referee Chris Broad imposed the fine.

According to an official ICC release, Pakistan were found to be an over short of their target after time allowances were taken into consideration.
