The number of international visitors coming to Kenya has tremendously increased since the start of the cruise ship tourism season in October last year. Mombasa port has received five cruise ships with international guests from the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada among others. n Monday, MS Silver Spirit docked at the port with 890 tourists - 496 passengers and 394 crew members.
The ship, which was from Zanzibar, made a stop at the Kenyan coast on its way to Seychelles. Kenya has recorded approximately 3,681 international tourist arrivals through the port with the past three months. The first cruise ship docked on October 23.
Tourists mostly visit Maasai Mara, Shimba Hills, Fort Jesus, Amboseli and other attractive sites in the country. This is the second time MS Silver Spirit is coming to Kenya in a span of two months. It docked on December 21 with 472 tourists and 365 crew.
