The cricket series between Zimbabwe and Pakistan that was scheduled for later this year was put in major doubt when the African nation's governing body for the sport revealed its cash crunch. However, in hopes of climbing out of their financial predicament and getting the series underway according to plan, the Zimbabwe Cricket Union has approached the International Cricket Council for a loan.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi revealed that the tour was still on as Zimbabwe Cricket Union had approached the ICC for a loan.
"They have asked us to wait until April for the final decision on the tour as they are expecting support from the ICC," he said.
The tour is scheduled for August.
