Fernando Alonso endured yet more frustration on F1’s final day of testing - seemingly suffering another oil leak at the same corner as Wednesday.
The Spaniard’s McLaren MCL33 was prevented from running for over six hours on the second day of test two in Barcelona, only returning for the final 13 minutes.
And he had more problems on Friday, once again coming to a stop at turn seven after a suspected leak - race stewards laying down sand on the track after the red flag.
Alonso, 36, had only completed seven laps and not set a time. They are changing the car's engine in an attempt to get Alonso back out before the end of the day and the F1 testing programme.
It is the latest setback for McLaren, who have had an issue-interrupted winter testing at the Circuit de Catalunya.
McLaren had completed the least laps of any team by the end of day seven with 506 and will very likely have the least amount of mileage by the time of the chequered flag at 5pm.
