Alia's upcoming film Raazi is based on the novel Calling Sehmat written by Harinder Sikka. The actress will be seen essaying the role of a daughter, a wife as well as a spy. Alia, Team Raazi launched their song Ae Watan in Mumbai yesterday, post which they participated in a media interaction. During which, Alia was asked about the ongoing uproar against the culprits behind Jammu girl, Asifa Bano’s, tragic death. The eight-year-old was abducted, raped and then murdered by four men.
And this what Alia had to say: "It's very disgraceful, shameful, a terrible thing that happened. As a girl, as an individual, as a human being, as a resident and as part of this country I feel very bad, very hurt that something like this happened. Ek time tha jab main bahut padh rahi thi isske baare mein. During the last two days I just parted (from it). If I keep reading about this it would make me more and more upset, angry and really really hurt. I have also said about this in one of my tweets. I hope that justice is served. As part of this country and as part of the media you guys are doing fantastic job. We should really go out there and condemn this because this cannot be happening to us constantly."
