Diablo 3 has come a long way since its initial release on PC back in 2012, its forthcoming release on the portable Nintendo Switch marking the series’ entry into the portable market. And if a listing on Target .com is to be believed, players could be hacking and slashing through dungeons on-the-go sooner than they might have expected.
Target’s online product listing for Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Switch has it releasing on December 20th. The multiplatform Diablo 3 bundle was only just announced about three weeks ago, making rumors of its imminent release that much more surprising.
Adding credibility to the rumors, which have ignited on Reddit since Nintendo Life reported on the potential release date, it appears Target has responded to reports by updating the release date. When Nintendo Life broke the scoop last night, the product listing showed a November 2 release date, coincidentally the first day of BlizzCon 2018. Since then, however, Target has edited the page, which now shows the December 20 release date.
