Knicks' Enes Kanter👀 Says He will 'Try to 🤝Recruit' Kevin Durant

Knicks C Enes Kanter has trash-talked Kevin Durant, but he also has been his teammate -- and now he hopes they can team up again in New York next year.

Durant signed a two-year deal with Golden State, but he is able to opt out after the first year. Kanter said he will "try to recruit" Durant once that time comes.

"I've been hard on him the last two years," Kanter said on Sirius XM Radio. "As soon as I learned he's becoming a free agent, he's my best friend. I can't say enough of the guy. He's the best scorer to ever play the game. Who wouldn't want KD to wear a New York uniform?"

Kanter played for Oklahoma City for parts of three seasons before he was traded to the Knicks ahead of last season.

"We are New York. He's a free agent," Kanter continued. "We need to use that. We are the best city in the world. That could draw a lot of attention for free agents. I would love for him to be my teammate again. When he was my teammate [in OKC], he was an amazing teammate, amazing character, scorer and basketball player on court and off the court, too. I would love to see him be my teammate again."

Kanter averaged 14.1 points and 11 rebounds in 71 games for the Knicks last season, his first in New York. Durant averaged 26 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game with Golden state last season.
