The Culling 2🔫 Launch Did Not👎 Go Well

Not too long ago, Xaviant Games surprised practically everyone by announcing this week’s release of its Battle Royale sequel The Culling 2, a direct followup to the original that officially came out to the public in October of last year after a lengthy early access closed beta period. It looks as if the game’s launch didn’t fare to well, though, for just two days after it became available, it seems as if there’s barely anyone playing it.

According to statistics generated by Steam Charts, as of writing, there has only been one player who is playing The Culling 2 on PC at the moment, which is not a great sign for a Battle Royale release that’s supposed to have 50 players in total to fill even a single game. What’s more is that Steam Charts shows that the most people who have even played on PC in last 24 hours is eight in total, while the title only managed to max out at 249 players concurrently so far.

So, taking all of this into consideration, with Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds already having large, established player bases – and with the former removing almost all barriers of entry as a free-to-play game – The Culling 2 faced the steep possibility of not being able to attract enough attention to itself from the get go. However, it’s safe to say few speculated that the sequel’s player count would be so staggeringly low at the outset
