Fans have been dying to hear more about what to expect from the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 ever since it was announced back in 2013. As the release date approaches, developers and directors for the game are releasing more information for fans to digest. In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura sat down to divulge some more information as to what fans can expect, including post-launch DLC.
During E3, Nomura gave some hints that Kingdom Hearts 3 might get DLC, and in the Famitsu article, Nomura stated that the development team wants to expand gameplay rather than sell in-game items. So if Kingdom Hearts 3 gets post-launch DLC, then it will likely be story or gameplay-driven, and not just cosmetic items for the characters.
Cosmetics would likely be hard to do, since in most worlds, Sora and company typically have distinct outfits unique to that world. Nomura went on to state that if they did DLC, it would be standalone and not part of a Season Pass.
