Riding on the back of James Harden's(27pts/10rebs) double-double & PJ Tucker's(22pts/7rebs) 89% shooting night, Rockets level the series 1-1 with a convincing 127-105 win.
Rockets took control of the game right from the tip-off & piled up a 14-point cushion at the halftime buzzer. Warriors tried to cook up another one of their iconic 3rd quarters but Rockets had an answer for every bucket of theirs. Five Rockets scored in double figures with PJ Tucker dropping a career-high playoff score. Trevor Ariza finished with 19 points & 6 dimes to his name while CP contributed 16 dishing out 6 assists at the same time.
Warriors' Durant-reliant offense got exposed under broad daylight as only Curry(16pts/7rebs/7ast) could put up double figures apart from KD(38pts) for the defending champs.
After Game 1, a lot of talk went around the NBA regarding Warriors' resilience and superiority in clutch playoff atmosphere to the Houston Rockets. The Rockets shut it all out and came back convincingly as the team that is acclaimed to be "Built" to dethrone the Warriors this year.
The series heads to The Bay Area now for Games 3 & 4, where GSW would want to cash in on the home-court advantage before flying back to Houston for Game 5.
