Johannesburg - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is expected to provisionally withdraw corruption charges against Duduzane Zuma in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Thursday, reports say.
According to a Business Day report the NPA sent a letter to Duduzane Zuma’s lawyers on Tuesday, notifying them of the provisional withdrawal of the charges.
The corruption charges were linked to a multi-million rand offer Duduzane allegedly made to former deputy finance minister Mcebisi Jonas on behalf of the Gupta family.
Duduzane has denied any knowledge of the alleged R600 million bribe made to Jonas at the Gupta's Saxonwold compound three years ago.
While the younger Zuma conceded he did meet with Jonas on the day at a Rosebank hotel and then moved to Saxonwold, he denied that Ajay Gupta was part of the meeting that included businessman Fana Hlongwane....
