A Delhi court on Tuesday allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to interrogate former Union Minister P. Chidambaram at Tihar jail in the INX Media money laundering case.
Special Judge A. K. Kuhar passed the order.
The probe agency had sought permission of the court to arrest him and remand him to its custody for 14 days.
Counsel for the senior Congress leader, senior advocate Kapil Sibal, had opposed the probe agency's two applications, submitting that they had not followed the procedure in the matter.
He argued that they should have rather sought permission to interrogate him at Tihar jail, and arrest him, if they felt necessary.
