+277...6 Doctor why is DISPRIN not recommended in the first 3 months of pregnancy?⚕️

Aspirin (Disprin is a brand name) is not recommended anytime during pregnancy, not just in the first three months. Aspirin in the first trimester can cause loss of pregnancy or congenital defects in the foetus. Later in pregnancy, aspirin has various other effects on the foetus. It can also increase the risk and severity of bleeding during the pregnancy or labour. There are certain conditions where Aspirin is administered during pregnancy, but it is given at low dose with regular monitoring. There are other drugs available for pain relief during pregnancy. You must consult with your doctor before you take any medication during pregnancy and while you are breastfeeding.
