Tripura Police Officers Face The Heat For Failing To Arrest Former Minister Badal Choudhury

The BJP government in Tripura on Thursday initiated disciplinary action against a handful of cops of the state for their alleged failure to arrest former PWD minister Badal Choudhury in connection with a scam involving Rs 600 crore.

While West Tripura district superintendent of police (SP) Ajit Pratap Singh was placed under suspension, DIG (Sothern Range) Arindam Nath and SDPO Dhruva Nath have been removed from their posts.

SP (Anti-Narcotics Branch) Manik Lal Das has been posted as new SP of West Tripura.

DIG (Northern Range) Soumitra Dhar is posted in place of Nath and DIG (Intelligence) L Darlong is posted as DIG of Northern Range replacing Dhar....
