Warriors' Omari Spellman Tweaks🤕 Back, Will Not Play Against Lakers

  |   Basketball

The Warriors -- already shorthanded in the frontcourt -- will be without another big man Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Omari Spellman tweaked his back during Monday's game and won't suit up against the Lakers, per Connor Letourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle.

Spellman started at center in Golden State's first preseason game and came off the bench in the last two contests.

He is averaging 5.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 17.0 minutes per appearance, and is 3-for-9 from beyond the arc.

With Kevon Looney, Willie Cauley-Stein, Alen Smailagic and Spellman all unavailable, you probably can expect training camp invite Kavion Pippen to see extended action.

Additionally, Marquese Chriss likely will play even more.
