Durban - KZN police have confirmed that a case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened after 15 children were injured when the bakkie they were travelling went down an embankment in Clermont on Sunday.
According to KZN police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala the driver of a bakkie lost control and rolled down an embankment.
"The children sustained minor injuries," said Gwala.
According to Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care when paramedics arrived on scene they found the bakkie left the roadway and went down an embankment in 4th Avenue.
"When paramedics arrived on scene they were shown to a nearby house where they found fifteen children aged between 5 years old and 10 years old who had been on the rear of the bakkie had sustained minor injuries....
