Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians skipper, was fined 15 per cent of his match fee after a breach of the Code Of Conduct in their game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Rohit, who was given out leg before in the fourth over on April 28, broke the stumps after being adjudged. He was charged under Level 1 of 2.2 of the IPL's Code of Conduct.
Replays showed that the ball was just clipping leg stump as Rohit reviewed the decision. He made his displeasure obvious, having a couple of words with the umpire and then breaking the stumps with his bat. He accepted the sanction.
