Bethesda has revealed a new gameplay trailer for their follow up to 2016’s DOOM reboot, DOOM Eternal. It’s the first new gameplay footage fans have seen in quite some time, despite the game now confirmed to be launching on November 22, 2019.
The DOOM Eternal footage shows some of the brutal action long-time series fans are used to, offering glances at some of the brutal dismemberment that also appeared in the first game three years ago. The heavy metal soundtrack is also back, complimenting that fast-paced action and gunplay the series is known for.
Fans of DOOM’s push-forward combat should feel right at home in the sequel, as it appears that iD software intends to keep all the things gamers love about the franchise intact while doubling down on the enemy and level design. If the past game is any indicator of the sequel’s quality, then fans should expect a satisfyingly-bloody romp through the hellish version of earth. Plus, DOOM Eternal will have story DLC, so fans will have even more to look forward to post-launch.
