England Women 233/7 in 41 overs (Tammy Beaumont 61; Afy Fletcher 3-48) beat West Indies Women 87.6 in 28 overs (Shemaine Campbelle 29; Kate Cross 2-4, Anya Shrubsole 2-12) by 121 runs (DLS)
With a second dominant performance in two games, England Women took an unassailable 2-0 lead over West Indies Women with a 121-run win at New Road, Worcester. Tammy Beaumont starred with a sedate 61 off 83 balls, helping England tally 233 for 7 in 41 overs in the rain-marred ICC Championship match.
Thanks to DLS and some more rain, West Indies had an even more contracted target staring at them: 209 in 28 overs. In trying to force the issue, West Indies kept losing wickets. Kate Cross picked two quick wickets shortly after Anya Shrubsole removed the openers, finishing with figures of 4-1-4-2. Shemaine Campbelle top-scored with 29(49) but it was an innings too slow, too late to take West Indies anyway near.
