England Finish 3⃣rd at Moscow Sevens

England men finished third at the Moscow Sevens leg of the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Sevens Series.

England beat Germany 24-14 in the third place play-off after losing 24-17 to France in the semi-final and earlier beating Wales 45-14 in the quarter-final.

Two first half tries from Ben Harris gave England a 10-7 lead at the break with Germany’s try coming from Niklas Koch.

Dan Norton extended England’s lead after the break with a further try from Harry Glover securing the win before Ben Ellermann crossed for Germany at the end.

The tournament serves as the ranking tournament for the official European Olympic qualification event in Colomiers, France on 13-14 July.
