Even as Assam is reeling under flood, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the next 24 hours in Assam and Meghalaya.
The IMD on Sunday said that isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh also may receive heavy downpour during the day.
According to a skymetweather report, intermittent spells of moderate to heavy rain and thundershower at many places with very heavy showers along with moderate lightning strike will be seen over Baksa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Karbi Anglong (East), Karbi Anglong (West), Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Nalbari, N.C.Hills, Sivasagar, Sonitpur, South Salmara-Mankachar, Tinsukia and Udalguri districts in Assam....
