Tripura: Following CPI(M)-BJP clash, situation still tense at Dharmanagar

Situation of Dharmanagar in North Tripura district continues to remain tense following a clash between workers of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha on Sunday.

Following the clash between CPI-M and BJP Yuva Morcha workers at West Chandrapur in Dharmanagar, CPI-M leaders including Amitabha Datta, Shakti Bhattacharjee and Ranju Dey were attacked by few youths.

The youths also went on a rampage and destroyed property in the CPI-M party office at West Chandrapur.

Reportedly the incident took place on Sunday afternoon when a CPI-M leader along with his supporters attacked the BJP Yuva Morcha workers with sharp weapon during their election rally at Dharmanagar....
