Amazon Prime is expanding on its popular Twitch Prime service, which grants periodic in-game rewards to subscribers. Rewards in the past have includes cosmetic items for games including League of Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch, Dota 2, and Grand Theft Auto Online. Twitch Prime has even given out a full year of Nintendo Switch Online to its subscribers for no additional cost. Now, Twitch Prime is expanding once again, providing free in-game content for mobile games, starting with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.
PUBG Mobile announced today that it's teaming up with Amazon Prime to offer free in-game loot. Every two weeks, new content will be unlocked for PUBG Mobile players on either iOS or Android. The first item is named the Infiltrator Mask, with subsequent weeks giving out a jacket and gloves, shoes, pants, a Kar98k skin, and a parachute. The PUBG Mobile free content is likely just the first example of Twitch Prime's expansion into mobile game freebies.
There are two ways for Amazon Prime subscribers to redeem the free content. PUBG Mobile players can click on an in-game event banner in the game's Event Center, after which they'll be prompted to confirm their Amazon Prime subscription. Alternatively, players can visit the amazon.com/pubgm website on their iOS or Android device to redeem. In order to earn each piece of loot, players will have to redeem the new content every two weeks.
